Artist's Statement about this work: Summertime swinging at the Logan River. The child took a serendipitous moment to enjoy swinging over the river on a warm sunny day. Unfortunately, the swing was taken down and is no longer there.

Artist's Statement about this work: This painting holds a special place in my heart, it was created during a time when I was feeling quite ill for a very long time. As I worked on it, I found myself reflecting on the last time I was healthy and feeling hopeful for the future. The snow-covered road in the forest represents the journey we all must take, But the beautiful sunlight in the distance serves as a reminder that there is always hope and a brighter tomorrow waiting for us at the end of our path. It is my hope that when you look at this painting, you are inspired to keep pushing forward through life's challenges and to always hold onto hope.

Artist's Statement about this work: This mother/daughter pair were performing at a Christmas recital where they played a duet, performing a medley of songs from the opera Carmen. I captured this photo seconds before launching into their performance. I noticed that they briefly and silently communicated with each other with their eyes. Although the daughter was apparently experiencing some performance anxiety, I could see the love and trust she felt for her mother in her eyes and her facial expression. I tried to capture those feelings in this portrait.

Artist's Statement about this work: Wonder is a piece of artwork that is quite literally woven together by memories and experiences. The last school bell rings and you are free from the four wall box. Running out to grab your mothers hand to head home. My home a place where I am truly safe.
