Artist's Statement about this work: Rock, paper, scissors: a classic children’s game centered around victory. However, this same gameplay is found between humanity and mother nature, and it can be a grim societal spectacle.Humanity often selects the pursuit of paper: a relentless chase where financial wins can come troubling loss of integrity. Others choose scissors and find themselves preoccupied with man-made materialisms, bladed and dangerous if mishandled. The fleetingness of humanity - our innovation and creations - will eventually fail us all. The winning hand - proven through thousands of years - has always been rock. Mother nature’s infinite silent strength has withstood the worst of humanity, and remains victorious.

Artist's Statement about this work: Visiting Kinderdike and seeing how the community developed windmills to use the constant winds to drain water from the land so they could live. The atmosphere, reflection and light screamed to be painted.

Artist's Statement about this work: Through this painting, I wanted to capture the purity and wonder of a child's imagination. The way Olivia loses herself in the moment, consumed by the beauty and creativity of the music she is making, is a powerful reminder of the beauty that exists in the world around us. As an artist, I am always seeking to find the magic in everyday moments, and Olivia is a testament to the incredible joy that can be found in even the simplest of experiences.

Artist's Statement about this work: This is on 300 pound watercolor cold press paper. I used watercolor paints only. I tried to have the women blend into the painting. It was a sunny afternoon in Kodac Basin. I tryed to have all of the Values dancing in this painting.

Artist's Statement about this work: right brainer's fridges may not always want to be seen by guests, however, one summer day as I placed flowers in the fridge to stay cool for a painting assignment, I realized how abundant my fridge was in the late summer months. I couldn't resist taking a photo of my blessings, to hold out hope in the winter months.

Artist's Statement about this work: Our world is an artist’s paradise with magnificent vistas, color rich contrasts, and unbelievable beauty! When painting "Dawn" I worked to capture the vibration of colors and movement of shapes found in nature. Artist's Statement about this work: Spring means new birth and there is not much of anything more adorable than baby goats. This little one is a member of my cousins herd.
